Automatic networks groups that have been renamed reappear with original name

Symptoms: When an automatically generated network group is renamed under Administration > Agent > Groups, and a new agent is added to the same network, the original automatic network group name shows up in the list next to the renamed one.  

 

 

Temporary hotfix available. The bug will be fixed in a new build as soon as possible.

Hotfix (apply on Backend server):

  1. Download and unzip the backend.jar file
  2. Stop the "Performance Guard Backend Server" service in Windows Service Manager.
  3. Rename the existing backend.jar file in the <PGUARD_INSTALLATION>\notification directory to backend-old.jar
  4. Copy the downloaded backend.jar file into the <PGUARD_INSTALLATION>\notification  directory
  5. Start the "Performance Guard Backend Server" service again in Windows Service Manager

Frontend Server uses too much memory

Symptoms: The Performance Guard Frontend Server service consumes too much memory, and when a limit is reached, stops communicating. First, it stop stops communicating with the Backend Server service; later agents cannot communicate data to the Frontend Server, and the Agents go offline indicated by a gray Agent icon in the notification area (also known as system tray).


 

Running this script file is a temporary workaround. The bug will be fixed in a new build as soon as possible.

Hotfix (apply on all Frontend servers):

  • Download and unzip the hotfix-6-3.zip file
  • Logged in as administrator, run the hotfix batch file with administrative rights (Run as Administrator)
