Creating a Client/Server Application

.Specify a Name for the

is done by clicking the add button next to the search and selecting Create Client/Server Application

. The name can contain the characters A-Z, a-z, 0-9 and underscores.
  • You can add a short Description but it is optional, Click Image Removed .
  • Server: Select from the list or search with the Hostname or IP address and add the desired server(s) to the application.
  • Port: Select which ports and protocols (TCP or UDP) you want to monitor by adding them to the application.
  • Process (Optional): To monitor traffic on a specific process set option to a process.
    • On the chart, you will be able to split by process to show traffic from different versions of the process.

    Example: Simply check the boxes for unwanted servers or ports that you don't want to be associated with an application any longer and remove them.

    This will open a dialog where you have to give the application a name and add at least 1 server and port in order to create it.

    Description and process are optional and can be added later if needed.

    Selecting servers and ports will adjust what the application will monitor while adding a process will make it so that only traffic from that process will be monitored.

    In order to remove undesired servers or ports simply click on the red cross. Note that changes only happen after clicking save changes.
