Profiles
Mobile Device Management Profiles
It is possible to configure profiles for the managed devices using the Profile Editor. In general, a profile is a collection of one or more payloads containing configurations.
The following payloads are supported by CapaInstaller:
Multiple Platforms
- Certificate Payload — This payload can be used to add a new certificate to the mobile device certificate store. The added certificate can then be used by the device for obtaining trust to a web service or other services.
- Exchange Payload — This payload can be used to configure a mobile device so it can connect to the company Exchange server.
- Passcode Payload — This payload can be used to enforce a passcode on the device. The payload doesn't give the actual passcode but merely states the requirements that the user passcode must fulfill.
- SCEP Payload — This payload can be used to enroll a certificate using the Simple Certificate Enrollment Protocol
- Web Clip Payload — This payload can be used to add a web clip/link at the device home screen. The web clip can be a shortcut for an internet homepage or similar
