License Consolidation

Introduction
The license consolidation concept is based on the business needs for optimizing license usage. If an application installed on a computer/server in the organization is inactive (not used) it could automatically be uninstalled and the license used elsewhere.

Field descriptions
Element | Description |
Metering | Identify the applications that should be managed and enable software metering for those. Be aware that metering has to be defined on a group level |
Package | Define “License Consolidation” Properties for the package. Basically the relation to metering has to be defined along with the interactive period. Be aware that the options are only available if the package has an uninstall procedure |
Schedule license consolidation | Schedule the CapaInstaller package “License Consolidation” and assign this to all computers or simply a subset of all computers. |
