Create a power scheme
Introduction
The following is a description of how to create a Power Scheme in Configuration Management.
Notice that some settings are available on some operating systems, but not on others. There are for example a lot of extra settings on Vista, that cant be found on XP. Any settings that the operating system doesn't support is simply ignored when applying the power scheme, which makes it possible to use the same power scheme, on workstations using different operating systems.
Step | Action |
1 | On your root Configuration Management Point, find the System Group, expand it, and then expand Power Management. Right-click on Power Schemes and click Create. |
2 | Fill out the Name, Description, and change description. |
3 | In the Common Settings tab, five common settings can be configured. They will all be set at the default setting when the window opens. The "Reset to default" changes all the settings of the power scheme to the default setting. |
