How to - CapaOne MDM - DEP enrollment
This article explains how to enroll DEP (Device Enrollment Program) devices into CapaOne. Before proceeding, ensure the device is already enrolled in Apple Business Manager.
Prerequisite: The device must be enrolled in Apple Business Manager.
Instructions
Follow these step-by-step instructions:
Log into Apple Business Manager
Go to Apple Business Manager.
Select "Devices" from the left pane.
Assign device to CapaOne MDM
Locate your device in the list and click the 3 dots in the top right corner.
Select Edit MDM Server and assign the device to CapaOne.
Verify device update
Go to the CapaOne platform and navigate to the Apple endpoint page.
Select the DEP tab and click on Synchronize in the bottom right corner.
If a new device is added, click Refresh.
Link enrollment
Click the 3 dots next to the device's serial number and select Link enrollment.
Choose the appropriate enrollment configuration for the device.
The profile status should now be "Assigned" to the device.
Setup device
Start the device and select your language and region.
On the layout screen, click Continue.
Choose Setup without another device.
Connect the device to a WiFi network.
Register the device
The device will download the DEP configuration.
Click on Register this iPad/iPhone.
Authenticate if required
If Microsoft authentication is set up in your enrollment config, validate with a user synced from Azure.
If Microsoft authentication isn’t enabled, the device should appear in the endpoint list with the Supervised tag.
Important: Make sure the device is updated correctly before linking it to the enrollment configuration in CapaOne
