What's New in the Server?
This release introduces one PerformanceGuard 7.2 introduces a new widget:
BTM
This widget Makes it easy to graphically compare metrics for widget provides a new and intuitive way to setup and compare Business Transaction Monitoring (BTM) measurements across individual computers and as well as locations.

Operators will no longer be prompted for the login password multiple times
Deep linking
Makes it possible to copy a URL of a dashboard and paste this into a mail to be sent to another operator with all paramters of the dashboard stored in the link
CORS
Makes it possible to have 3rd parties embedding PerformanceGuard.
DropWizard Metrics
Internal monitoring of the PG service using standard measurements API.
REST versioning
The REST interface for PerformanceGuard is public interface and versionized the interface. This ensures that code made by third parties using the interface will remain operational even if PerformanceGuard is upgraded and the REST interface is changed.

REST API
PerformanceGuard now supports access to the data in the database using the REST API.
The API is versionized to ensure that any changes made to the API will not affect external access to the data
The REST API supports Cross Origin Resource Sharing (CORS)
Browser Support
This version is supported in both Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 as well as Google Chrome.
We recommend using Google Chrome when accessing PerformanceGuard, because this browser is much faster than Internet Explorer 11

Windows Performance Counters
PerformanceGuard now supports Object names, Counter names and Instance names up to 4096 characters each. Previous limit was 64 characters
Installation and Upgrades
Clean installation of a PerformanceGuard database now uses the database server properties to place files in the default location. Previously the default location in the installer was the folder where the Master database was placed
If upgrading from PerformanceGuard 6.6 or earlier the following is required:

If upgrading from PerformanceGuard 6.7 or later:
- Two web server ports instead of previously one port
- Used for embedding the parts of the UI that have not yet been replaced by new functionality

The PerformanceGuard documentation is continuously updated and is available online at http://help.capasystems.com. here.
Within PerformanceGuard, the documentation is available via content-aware links, and updates to the documentation no longer requires an upgrade of the PerformanceGuard software.
