Deploy Simple Certificate Enrollment Service
Introduction
This will guide you through the deployment of a Simple Certificate Enrollment Protocol (SCEP) Service.
Step | Action |
1 | Open the Services folder and right-click on SCEP Service click Deploy Simple Certificate Enrollment Protocol Service and the following form will open. Make sure that the required prerequisites are met. If they are not, you are able to click the status link to create the missing requirements. |

2 | Enter the name of the Server and press Validate Choose Enable offline installation if the server cannot be contacted because of firewall's etc. |
3 | If the server to which you want to deploy the SCEP service can't be reached through WMI, then you must enable "Enable offline installation" |
4 | Assign a Public Url, port, and Back-end service to the service. |

6 | If you have enabled Offline installation this guide proceeds at step 20: Offline installation |
7 | Online installation- Select how service files are copied to target Server |

9 | The Service is being installed. |

11 | Installation completed. |

21 | Configuration completed, press the URL icon to copy the install URL to the clipboard |

23 | Now login as an administrator on the target server on which the SCEP service will be deployed |
24 | Open a browser |
25 | Paste in the URL link from the clipboard. The URL link is the backend service URL followed by "/install" like this "http://CMS4SRV01:XX/cibackend/install" |
26 | Click the "Install the Simple Certificate Enrollment Protocol (SCEP) Service" |
27 | The SCEP installer executable file will be downloaded. Execute the SCEP installer file. |
28 | Press the "Install" button |
29 | SCEP installation finished |
