Events and alerts all have a severity level set by the PerformanceGuard administrator.
The severity levels in PerformanceGuard are predefined as follows:

Default severity level if no events have occurred. |

A situation that has informational value only. |

Some value or situation is out of the ordinary and should be looked at. |

Something is wrong and needs to be fixed. |

A critical error with a huge impact that requires immediate attention. |
