Wake up a computer
Introduction
Wake-on-LAN (WOL) enables computers to be woken from sleep in response to a command arriving from the network. This helps save power because computers can be allowed to sleep after working hours even when computer-management tasks are scheduled that night.
To use WOL, your clients must be fitted with a network card that supports the standard.
You can schedule WOL signals to match other scheduled maintenance tasks, like reinstallation of a computer, or schedule a computer group to perform a WOL on specific times.
