What's New in the Server?

AutoSteps

This release includes the new add on functionality called AutoSteps. AutoSteps is a scripting robot that allows for synthetic monitoring.

With synthetic monitoring a whole new range of opportunities is opened for securing fast and reliable IT systems for the end users.

Dashboard sharing and PDF printing

It is now possible to share dashboards directly from the web interface. It is possible to share dashboards as either links to the web interface or as a printer friendly PDF

It is also possible to generate a printer friendly PDF for download to your local computer.

New Widgets

Network Latency Widget

Multiple Ping and traceroute measurements can now be compared for single locations as well as across multiple locations.

AutoSteps Status Widget

To monitor the status of AutoSteps script execution a new widget has been added to provide an intuitive overview.


Miscellaneous improvements

  • Export from graphs in the classic web interface in full resolution has been increased from 33 hours to 45 days.
  • Widgets have been categorized according to their relevance in the following categories
    • Application
    • Computer
    • Network
    • Miscellaneous
  • The event engine has been optimized to provide better performance and less load on the backend server.
  • The report folder structure no longer has the folder 'BU1' and all reports under this folder will be moved to the 'reports' folder.

Browser Support

This version is supported in both Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 as well as Google Chrome.

We recommend using Google Chrome when accessing PerformanceGuard, as this browser is much faster than Internet Explorer 11.

Microsoft Edge can be used but is not officially supported and thus no bugs related to this browser alone will be fixed.

Discontinuation

The 'Location Dashboard' in the classic web interface has been discontinued.

Support for Business Units has been removed, hence reports generated to disk are moved from /reports/BU1/<xxxxx> to /reports/<xxxxx>
