What's New in the Server?

Automatic Agent Update

With version 8.2 of the agent it is possible to enroll the agent in an automatic upgrade program. This is administered using an agent configuration Groups. When enabled the agent will periodically check for new releases which it will download and install. Read more here.

Built-in download of Agent Installer 

The agent can be downloaded directly from PerformanceGuard in the browser by pressing the download button. It will always download the latest released version of the agent after the release of version 8.2. Read more here.

Configure how the agent shall be installed

Dashboard Slideshow

Dashboard slideshows are a way for the user to view multiple different dashboards without having to swap between dashboards. Read more here.

Setup which dashboards should be part of the Slideshow, then press play.

Moreover, a great number of improvements and bug-fixes has been implemented (The most important ones mentioned below)


Changes in JVM and LDAP (config.properties) Parameters are not updated before PG 8.3, i.e. you will need to copy them manually.

This version is supported in both Microsoft Edge and new Chromium-based Edge as well as Google Chrome.

Discontinuation

This is the latest release of PerformanceGuard Server that supports installation on Windows Server 2008/ 2008 R2 and 2012.

Internet explorer filters will be phased out and we recommend start using chromium filters from now.
