New Features in CapaInstaller 6.4 - 2022

 

OS Deployment

Peering is now introduced to OS Deployment.

With CapaInstaller 6.4, Peering is introduced to OS Deployment - the feature is based on the same technology we have used for package distribution for many years,

 

Peering in CapaInstaller for OS Deployment minimizes the need for servers.

The OS Deployment searches for images and drivers in the following order:

  1. The Local Cache

  2. Endpoints on the local network

  3. OS Deployment server

Remember to Rebuild WinPE before enabling Peering (Use BaseAgent download)

CapaOne

All CapaInstaller customers now has access to reliability

CapaOne Reliability is a new product on the CapaOne platform - it was released with CapaInstaller 6.3

The CapaOne Reliability product is free for all CapaInstaller customers.

Management Portal and Self Service Portal

  • Management Portal must be upgraded after CapaInstaller has been updated.

    • Uninstall the old version and install the new version. (Setup is located in “CMP share” \Resources\Management Portal).

  • SelfServicePortal must be upgraded after CapaInstaller has been updated.

    • Uninstall the old version and install the new version. (Setup is located in “CMP share” \Resources\Self Service Portal).
