Workflows

Why Workflows?

Workflows are an easy way to schedule tasks like patching software. In addition, it has the power to do multiple actions on multiple devices automatically (Bulk operations).

How to use a workflow?

  1. Go to the workflows page by clicking the play button in the sidebar.

  2. Create a new workflow by clicking the “New Workflow” button in the upper right corner, and you will be guided through the creation progress.

  3. When created, you will be met by a flow board to edit.
There is a description of adding, removing, and changing each action on the board. You can also enable/disable the given workflow by the green slider in the top right corner.
Remember that the “Schedule” block only exists if you have chosen the “Scheduled Workflow” type.

  4. Now drag an action from the left bar onto the board and connect the filter to the action, as described in the info box to the right.

  5. Select the action you just added, and you should be met with the configuration on the right-hand side.

  6. When you are done, you can press the “Save and close” button, and your newly created workflow is ready to run.

Options Menu

On the most right-hand side, you will find three vertical dots representing the options menu for each workflow. This contains options such as “Edit”, “Clone”, “delete” and “Run now”

Run now

You can also make the workflow “Run now” in addition to running as a schedule. This is done from the workflow list by pressing the three dots on the right-hand side.
A pop-up menu should appear where you can select “Run now”.
